I liked to treat myself to a few games of Take a Break bingo and celebrate that it was the weekend. That weekend was no different and I was looking forward to my games, especially as it had been a difficult year. My partner had been made redundant and we’d all had to tighten our belts. Christmas was approaching and I’d told my three children not to expect much over the festive period. ‘We’ve had to scrimp and save this year,’ I told them. It was a real shame because I liked to spoil them, but it just wasn’t possible this year. It had just gone midnight and my eyes were starting to droop, but I loved watching the bingo games unfold. I’d bought a few 50p tickets for the bingo lounge, and was contemplating switching off the computer, but somehow, I couldn’t quite make myself do it. The game was really exciting, and soon I found that I was only waiting for one number – 79. I was jumping between rooms, and I closed my eyes for a second and when I opened them, my name was flashing on screen. It wasn’t until I saw my £825 balance that I got really excited. ‘Oh my goodness!’ I screeched, thrilled. Winning was such a buzz. I went and woke up my kids and my partner. ‘I won on the bingo!’ I yelped, elated. ‘That’s brilliant,’ my partner said, rubbing sleep from him eyes. I barely slept that night - I was just too excited. Over the next few days I did what I’d wanted to do for months…spoil my three kids at Christmas. I bought them a laptop and some nice clothes and went all out on the food and trimmings. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to do that without my bingo win. Thank you Take a Break. You certainly made ours a Christmas to remember. |

I allowed myself the odd game of bingo in the afternoons before picking my son Lewis up from school. Three weeks after I’d signed up, I logged onto Take a Break bingo. I bought some tickets for the bingo lounge and watched as the game unfolded. It wasn’t long before something flashed up on screen…It said £2500! ‘Oh my goodness!’ I screeched. ‘I won!’ But I didn’t want to believe the huge sum until I’d checked my balance. I checked it straight away and it was there in black and white. I had won! I couldn’t believe my luck – nothing like this ever happened to me! I was delighted. We decided the majority of the bingo win would go towards paying off our holiday, plus some treats for the kids. It was a real weight off our shoulders and really took the pressure off my husband Gary. It means he can spend more time at home with the kids, rather than having to do overtime. We cannot wait for our family holiday together. It’s such a relief knowing we can go and enjoy ourselves without having to worry about the money. Thank you so much Take a Break bingo! |

I was on a break from work and I decided to logon to my Take a Break bingo account. I’d been playing for a year after seeing a woman’s testimonial about her big win in Take a Break magazine. I worked as a shop assistant two minutes from my home, so it meant I could play the odd game during my breaks. One afternoon, I had a half hour break so I nipped home for a cuppa, a bite to eat – and a game of bingo. I bought some advance 2p tickets in the Scratch bingo room. My balance was approximately £1 as I left and went back to my afternoon shift. I didn’t think any more if it. Only later that evening I realised I hadn’t played my free scratch card that day. I logged onto my Take a Break bingo account and stopped in my tracks. I looked at my balance. It didn’t make any sense. ‘Glenn!’ I called to my partner. ‘Come and look at this.’ He dutifully came and looked at the screen. ‘What does the number say?’ I asked, pointing at my balance. ‘It says £501,’ he said. So I wasn’t seeing things – I’d won! I couldn’t believe it! ‘Oh my goodness,’ I shrieked, jumping around, celebrating. Nothing like this ever happened to me. I chatted to some of the other users on the site and they confirmed that I had won. It was unbelievable! ‘What shall we do with the money?’ I asked Glenn, giddy with excitement. But I didn’t need to ask. ‘A new car!’ we both giggled. And it wasn’t long before we got rid of our old banger and replaced it with a much better second-hand car. It was wonderful not having to worry about the money for the car and not having to save for it any more. Now I’m still playing Take a Break bingo and I’m grateful every time we get in our new car. Thank you so much Take a Break.

I was approaching my 55th birthday and my 26th wedding anniversary. They were on the same day. We weren’t doing anything fancy to celebrate, but my husband Patrick, the kids and I were going to a country pub for dinner. I was really looking forward to it. But as it was Saturday night and Patrick was watching a DVD, I sat next to him and grabbed my laptop again. ‘Just a quick game,’ I smiled to myself. I logged on, bought some bingo lounge tickets and watched the game unfold. ‘Good luck everyone!’ I typed to other players. It was a gripping game – especially when my name flashed up on screen. ‘I’ve won!’ I laughed, taking in my new balance. ‘I can’t believe it.’ My balance now said £560. What a bit of luck! ‘Don’t tell the kids,’ Patrick joked. ‘They’ll be after the money straight away.’ I laughed. But I was so excited I immediately called the kids and told them. ‘That’s brilliant, Mum,’ they all said. ‘You can treat us to a takeaway tonight then,’ my son, Daniel, laughed cheekily. But two days later I had to take my car in for it’s MOT and it needed lots of work. ‘My son is a boy racer and shares my car…’ I explained to the mechanic. The final bill was £270, so I was pleased to have had the recent bingo win to cover it. I’ve since decided I’m going to give my car to my 17-year-old daughter Maryann. She’s training to be a midwife and will need a car to get around. I’ve decided to put the rest of my generous Take a Break bingo win towards buying a new car. I can’t wait to start looking! But whilst I celebrated my birthday and wedding anniversary, I just enjoyed spending time with my family. Now I’ll continue to play Take a Break bingo every week. Who knows…maybe I’ll win enough money to buy a new car outright! Fingers crossed. |

I logged on to the Take a Break bingo site and bought some bingo lounge tickets. I put on my favourite Dwight Yoakam CD and settled down for the game. In time, 14 of my numbers appeared and I waited with baited breath for my final number to come up. It felt like an eternity, but then it flashed up on screen. ‘Wow!’ I said, shocked. That certainly woke me up! I’d won a whopping £540. I couldn’t believe it! ‘Gavin,’ I called to my son. ‘I’ve won the bingo. Come and look!’ I don’t think he was very impressed to be woken my screaming, but he was definitely happy for me. It didn’t take me long to decide what to do with the money. My daughters Katie and Natalie and I are obsessed with Country and Western singers like Dwight and Garth Brooks. We’ve always wanted to travel to Texas in America and listen to some country music and attend a real-life rodeo. We’ve all been saving for a while, and the bingo money has gone straight to the holiday fund. We’re hoping to go in 2014, but the bingo win has certainly helped. I couldn’t have been happier when I won a further £500 on Take a Break bingo recently too. It was so unexpected! It means our dream is becoming more of a reality. One things for certain, I’ll keep playing Take a Break bingo – hopefully I’ll keep up my winning streak!

One evening, after doing the grocery shopping and taking care of my husband John, I took our black Lab, George out for a walk. Then I settled down for a game of bingo. John was happily watching TV, so I allowed myself a few minutes to relax. I bought some tickets for the bingo lounge and watched intently as the game started. It was such fun. And then I realised I’d won a whopping £633! My mouth popped open in shock. I couldn’t believe my luck! I wanted to shout it from the rooftops, but I was too surprised to do anything. I decided to reinvest some of my winnings and play another few games. ‘Maybe I’ll have some more luck,’ I thought to myself. And lo and behold I went on to win a further £580. All in the same evening! I just couldn’t believe it – I was so excited. I spent some time thinking about what to do with the money, but with three grown up children and six grandkids, it didn’t take me long to decide. It’s been wonderful treating my loved ones and not having to worry about the money. And it’s all thanks to Take a Break bingo. I still play twice a day if I have the time. Perhaps I’ll have another big win soon. Finger crossed! |

I’d signed up to the site four years before, but since starting an Accountancy and Finance degree at the University of Plymouth, I’d had very little spare time. But I thought I deserved a treat. So I bought some tickets for the bingo lounge and won £40. I was absolutely thrilled! Later I was watching some Olympic swimming with my Mum on TV and I reinvested my £40 winnings so I could play a few games of Fruity Burst. I watched as the lines of fruit dropped and burst. It was such a fun game. I was flicking between watching the swimming and watching my computer screen. Suddenly I noticed my balance. It said £1005. ‘Oh my goodness!’ I screamed, seeing the figure. ‘What?’ Mum asked. ‘I’ve just won one thousand pounds on the Fruity Burst game!’ I said happily. I couldn’t believe how lucky I’d been. Finally, the news sunk in and I was very excited. It took me a few days to calm down. Since my big win, I still haven’t decided what to do with the money. I am having a battle between my head and my heart. The sensible part of me knows I should pay off my student overdraft so I can start my next academic year at university in a good financial position. However, my heart is telling me to save the money until my birthday in October, then fly to Las Vegas with friends and have a real blow out. It would be such a fun way to celebrate my birthday and I certainly couldn’t afford to do it without this Take a Break win. It’s a very difficult decision. I’ll spend another couple of weeks deciding, but at the moment, my heart is certainly winning out! Thanks Take a Break.

I played whenever I had a few spare minutes. The week after I’d joined my Nan popped in to see Mum and I. She had a quick game of bingo but she lost. ‘Maybe next time…’ she said. I decided I’d have a quick game too. A few minutes later my Nan waved goodbye as I played in the bingo lounge. Within minutes I won the Full House. My name flashed up on screen and then I saw my balance. It said £2688. ‘I’ve won two thousand six hundred and eighty eight pounds!’ I screamed, looking at the screen. ‘Mum, look at this,’ I said. I was so excited - I couldn’t believe my luck. I was shocked I’d had such a big win just a week after joining the Take a Break bingo site. It was unbelievable! And it couldn’t have come at a better time. It meant I could splash out on top of the range products for my baby son that I wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise. I bought a cot, a Moses basket and lots of clothes amongst other things. And it was great not having to worry about the cost. When my son arrives, he’ll be the best looked after little boy. I simply cannot wait.

I liked playing in the evenings as I found it relaxing after a hard days work. It was a good way to wind down. I’d had a few successes, but I was really hoping for a big win. My girlfriend Cassie and I were planning to get away in the summer. ‘Gran Canaria would be nice,’ she said. We desperately wanted to soak up some sun and have a few beers. It was a Friday night and I switched the TV on and grabbed my laptop. I logged on to Take a Break bingo and bought some bingo lounge tickets.I was watching the screen when my numbers started to come up. Soon I was only waiting for one. Then suddenly it appeared. I couldn’t believe it! I’d won! I was really happy - I felt like jumping up and down. I told Cassie the good news straight away.‘I won £463 on the bingo!’ I said happily. ‘That’s brilliant news,’ she said. And it didn’t take a minute to decide what to do with the money. We are putting it towards our trip to Gran Canaria. Having this extra cash really takes the pressure off and I feel lucky to have had this big win. Cassie has started playing Take a Break bingo now too.
